TCM Acupuncture

The healing principles of acupuncture is deeply rooted in the concept Chi and the channel for which it flows through the human body ("Meridian Channels"). Acu-needles, fraction of a millimeter in widths, are inserted at distinct points ("Acu-points") across the meridian channels to regulate Chi.

Dr. Wen's unique application of acupuncture follows the principles of "Wu Yun Liu Chi" (natural chi flows pattern), which also require a set of sophisticated needling techniques. This distinction in Dr. Wen's treatment methods requires a comprehensive multi-factor TCM examination and diagnosis.

This unique examination process enables her to formulate a fully customized treatment plan. The selection of "Acu-points", and various needling techniques tailored for each "Acu-point", can result in over hundreds of combinations tailored to your unique meridian profile, and illness seeking treatments.

TCM Moxibustion

Moxibustion is the application of external heat therapy, through the burning of Moxa, at selected "Acu-points" along the body's meridian channels to stimulate and adjust unbalanced bodily functions, reopen blocked Chi channels and to boosts energy. In combination with other treatment techniques, Moxibustion can be highly effective in treating cold and dampness in the body, that manifest in pain, aches, cramps and other chronic discomfort, digestive problems and cold/flu symptoms.

TCM Herbal Medicine

Chinese Herbal Medicine function both as a preventative measure and a healing technique. Herbs are generlly classified by their 4 natures and 5 flavors. As herbs grow, Chi from heaven and earth is infused with each herb to develop their unique healing properties.

Growing up in the mountains, Dr. Wen have had hands on experience growing and cultivating these herbs, and intimate understanding of the complexities between seasonal climates and herbal properties. Through years of detailed study of historical TCM records and the private family teachings, Dr. Wen has modified standard formular to enhance and provide further specialization of their usage, thus creating a more dynamic and tailored formula for her patients.

As no two people are alike, we believe that no two prescription should be alike as well.

TCM Cupping Method

Cupping method is a non-invasive treatment to balance chi and blood. This procedure utilizes specially designed suction cups to create a vacuum over an "acu-point". The vacuumed cups may sit in one acu-point or moved along the "Meridian Channels" to stimulate the required effect.

It is effective to treat common cold, pneumonia, bronchitis, and a variety of muscular pain. Post treatment, an around red or dark red spot may appear on the skin, as seen on many professional athletes. The mark is not permanent and will typically disappear ranging from a few days to 1-2 weeks.
